Novemberfest: A Fall Festival of Dance seeks to highlight and celebrate a variety of dance genres as well as student work. “By incorporating different genres and student work, our hope is that Novemberfest: A Fall Festival of Dance will fully and richly represent the diverse culture and interests of Saint Andrew’s School,” said Dance Instructor, Charlotte Rosen.

The school is proud to have 14 dedicated students committed to Dance Company this year - seven from the Middle School and seven from the Upper School. This year, as a senior and grade 8 privilege, students submitted choreographic ideas for inclusion in Novemberfest: A Fall Festival of Dance. Students were mentored throughout the choreographic process and took on a variety of roles associated with choreographing such as costume, light, and sound design. “Involving student work fits the school’s mission of having student leadership opportunities within Dance Company,” said Ms. Rosen.

“Also, new this year, the Novemberfest: A Fall Festival of Dance program has included three dance pieces that were created outside of Dance Company to allow for a variety of genres to be showcased and a greater number of students to have the opportunity to perform,” offered Dance Instructor, Katie Petronio. “We are thrilled to include a piece from the Upper School class 'Dance and Popular Culture' in the program,” added Ms. Petronio.

The school is very proud of each dancer’s individual and group development over the past two months as they’ve prepared for Novemberfest: A Fall Festival of Dance. Join us as the dance program shares its artistry with the SA community.
