Boys Cross Country Wins District Championship; Ellie Tymorek Wins Individual Title

The varsity boys and girls cross country teams competed in the FHSAA Class 2A District 7 Meet on Tuesday, October 22 at Tradewinds Park. The varsity boys team won the district title by a narrow one point victory over The King's Academy. The Scots top finisher for the boys was Will Romac grinding it out to finish 2nd in the meet. Will was followed by podium finishers Damien Carlsson (4th), Jack May (5th), Ian Noble (7th), Christopher Warren (14th), and Tristan Moss (15th).

The girls cross country team placed 5th in the championship meet with Ellie Tymorek once again finishing as the district champion. Helmi Peipinen (6th) and Lydia Szakacs (11th) both finished on the podium.

The boys and girls cross country teams have both advanced to the regional meet next Wednesday, October 30 again at Tradewinds Park. The girls race starts at 8:30AM followed by the boys race at 9:45AM.
