Varsity Girls Golf Wins Inaugural Palm League Tournament
The varsity girls golf team competed at PGA National Resort on the Fazio course on Friday, September 6 in the inaugural Palm League golf tournament. The Scots competed against players from The Benjamin School, Gulliver Prep, Oxbridge Academy, North Broward Prep, Pine Crest, and Miami Country Day.
Saint Andrew's finished first in the tournament (317) by three strokes over The Benjamin School (320) avenging a loss to the Bucs earlier this season. The team's low round was shot by Hope Hall with a score of 76 placing her third overall in the tournament. Hope was followed by Amelie Alcantara (77), Gabriella Albert (77), Alana Hall (87), and Mari Tompkins.
The boys also competed in the inaugural Palm League golf tournament placing tied for 5th with a team score of 324. Dean Greyserman was the leader for the Scots shooting a 76 on the day followed by Char Russekoff (81), Justin Ross (83), QA Nguyen (84), and Kristian Ruczika (86).
