Track and Field Athletes Have Strong Showing at State Meet

Four Scots competed in five events at the FHSAA State Track and Field Meet on May 3-4, 2019 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. Saint Andrew's had one of their best results in school history bringing home four individual medals.

Senior Nicole Whitaker placed 4th in the discus with a throw of 39.47 meters (129' 6"). Sophomore Ellie Tymorek set school records in both the 3200m run (10:56.29) placing 4th and the 1600m run (5:12.28) placing 8th. Senior Nate Gramentine finished 7th in the high jump with a jump of 1.92 meters (6' 3.5"). Lydia Szakacs placed 16th out of the top 24 runners in the state in the 3200m run with a personal best time of 11:47.96. 

Congratulations to these outstanding individuals and to the coaches and teams on another amazing season for Saint Andrew's. Go Scots!
