Lower School Immersion

With Support of the Annual Fund, the Lower School Immersion Program Offers Learning Experiences that Provide Engaging New Challenges that Correspond to Students’ Interests.

With the Support of the Annual Fund, the Lower School Immersion program offers immersive learning experiences that provide engaging new challenges that correspond to students’ interests. For five years running, Lower School students have been taking part in the Immersion Program at Saint Andrew’s School. The Immersion program, offered over three days in January each year, gives our youngsters the opportunity to apply their classroom studies to real-world exercises.  For third, fourth, and fifth graders, the programs are shared across all three grade levels, so SA has students of different ages and abilities interacting and working together collaboratively, which increases the sense of family we celebrate at Saint Andrew’s. During Immersion 2020, students were able to select from nine different programs, ranging from engineering and health fields to fashion design, art, and more. Among the selections provided for 2020’s Lower School Immersion program were Art Studio, Eco Warrior, Fabulous Foodies, Fashion Design, Florida’s Great Outdoors, Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies, Lighthouse Exploration, Roller Coaster, and The Skin You’re In. One major highlight of the 3-Day Immersive learning experience are trips off campus. This year students travels were exciting and diverse including trips to the spa, local lighthouses, Lego Land, the beach, restaurants and much more!
