Annual Fund News

Lights, Camera, Action!

Lights, Camera, Action! Lower School students produce WSAS news broadcasts, thanks in part to the Annual Fund.

Our Grade 5 students have the unique opportunity to create, produce, and deliver on-air news shows in our Lower School Media Arts program. Under the supervision of Mr. Taylor Bergman and Mrs. Dawn Jones, Scots create scripts and videos based on Lower School events and deliver approximately 20 shows annually. Serving as anchors, reporters, weatherpersons, and camera operators, they assume the roles of each part of a production team, both in front of and behind the camera. With the support of the Annual Fund, WSAS students
harness the power of media, express their individual creativity, and learn first hand how media affects their lives, our culture, and the world.
