Over the weekend, Saint Andrew's Swimming and Diving team participated in the State Meet and displayed an outstanding performance. Aspen Gersper won the State Championship title for the second consecutive time in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 49.05. This takes Gersper’s State Champion streak to four previously winning State Championship titles in the 100-yard butterfly during her freshman and sophomore years.
Despite having a limited roster, our boys' swimming and diving team finished as State Runners-up. The team consisted of only five swimmers in individual events, one relay-only swimmer, and one diver. It is impressive that only seven athletes from the team managed to achieve this feat.
Alexia Sotomayor secured a silver medal in the 100-yard butterfly, achieving an Automatic All-American time while our girls' swimming and diving team finished fourth overall.
