Saint Andrew’s Coach Jimmy Robertson Named Sam Budnyk Coach of the Year

Head Football Coach Jimmy Robertson was honored with the Sam Budnyk Coach of the Year Award at the 34th annual Lou Groza Award Celebration

Saint Andrew’s School is proud to announce that Head Football Coach Jimmy Robertson was honored with the Sam Budnyk Coach of the Year Award at the 34th annual Lou Groza Award Celebration. Presented each year to the top prep football coach in Palm Beach County, the award recognizes outstanding leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to student-athlete development.

Named in honor of legendary Cardinal Newman High School coach Sam Budnyk, the award celebrates coaches who embody Budnyk’s legacy of excellence both on and off the field. Robertson’s leadership during the 2025 season, marked by discipline, determination, and a strong team culture, distinguished him among coaches countywide.

Accepting the award, Coach Robertson expressed gratitude for the community that stands behind him and the program.

“I'll keep this short and sweet. It’s an honor. I couldn’t have done this without the team that I have. I couldn’t do it without my administration, the parents, and all the support I have. And go, Scots! Thank you.”

The Saint Andrew’s community congratulates Coach Robertson on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates the continued success of the Scots football program.
