The Saint Andrew's School Middle School Boys Basketball team captured the Gold Coast Championship in impressive fashion, defeating North Broward Preparatory School 50 - 34 on their home court in Stoops Family Gymnasium to bring home the program’s first league title since 2017.

The championship game, part of the Gold Coast League (GCL) season finale, showcased a season’s worth of teamwork, growth, and determination from a Saint Andrew’s squad that blended experience with emerging young talent.

The Scots roster featured 14 players who steadily developed chemistry throughout the season. Team captains Braden Delgado ’30, Snyder Gustama ’30, CJ Kravit ’30, and Carter MacLachlan ’30 provided leadership on and off the court, helping guide the group through a competitive league schedule. The team went into the championship game undefeated.

Saint Andrew’s took control of the championship matchup with strong defensive play and balanced scoring, pulling away in the second half to secure the decisive 16-point victory.

For Head Coach Matt Pursel, the championship represented more than just a final score.

"I really enjoyed coaching this team. They played hard, played together, and never stopped trying to improve the whole season. They won the championship the right way and brought home the first boys basketball banner since 2017. I'm proud of this group and really appreciate each player for their contributions."

With the title win, the Middle School Boys Basketball program not only adds a new banner to Stoops Family Gymnasium but also continues a proud tradition of teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence at Saint Andrew’s.
