  • How confidential is the financial aid application process?

All applications for financial aid are held in the strictest confidence and are only shared with members of the Financial Aid Committee.
  • If we do not receive aid when we enroll, can we reapply in future years?

Typically, families who begin at Saint Andrew’s School paying full tuition are expected to continue to do so unless unforeseen circumstances make that impossible. Families that do not receive aid in the first year may reapply in subsequent years though it is only in rare cases that we are able to make an award.
  • What happens if parents are divorced or separated?

When considering an application for financial aid, the Financial Aid Committee must consider the assets of both natural parents and stepparents before making an award decision. Custodial and non-custodial parents are each required to complete the entire financial aid application process including filing a PFS and submitting all required tax documentation. The Committee considers both households’ ability to contribute to tuition. Each request is reviewed on a case by case basis and families may be asked to submit additional documentation, such as court orders, at the discretion of the Financial Aid Committee.
  • Will a request for financial aid influence the admission decision?

No. Saint Andrew’s bases its acceptance of students on the quality of their Application for Admission to the school, regardless of financial need.
  • Will my child's financial aid award change from year-to-year?

Awards are reevaluated annually; families must reapply each year their child is enrolled in Saint Andrew’s School. Once financial aid has been awarded it is reasonable to expect that awards will be renewed each year so long as a family’s financial situation has not experienced any significant changes, a family’s account is current, and the student remains in good academic and social standing.
