Upper School Admission Process

Saint Andrew’s School now offers an Early Application option for students applying to Grade 9. This option is for students who consider Saint Andrew’s their first-choice school. 

To participate in the Early Application round applications must be complete, including all required materials and testing, by December 5. Admission decisions will be released on December 17. Students admitted during the early application timeframe are expected to enroll. 

We encourage all those that would like to be considered for the Grade 9 Distinguished Scholar Award to apply in the Early Application round. We will continue to consider qualified applicants after the early application round on a funds available basis.

Saint Andrew's offers two application options:

Saint Andrew's Online Application or  Standard Application Online (SAO) 

Application fee:

• $100 application fee

• Completed by the applicant
• Includes an essay with prompts to choose from

Submit the request electronically through   your application portal once your child’s current teachers have had time to get to know them. Required forms:

• Current English Teacher Form
• Current Math Teacher Form
• Current Principal or Guidance Counselor Form

Submit the request electronically through your application portal; this will authorize your current school to send records directly to us. 
Records to include:

• Transcripts must include Grade 8 onward - School records that show the classes the student took and the grades they received in previous years
• Current year’s grades (first quarter, trimester, or semester)
• Prior year’s standardized test scores
• Attendance information

 If the transcripts are not in English, a certified translated copy must be submitted along with the original transcripts; transcripts must include Grade 8 (or it’s equivalent) onward

An admission interview is an important part of the application process and is required for all applicants. Admission interviews are conducted in person or virtually via Zoom. Please contact the Admission Office to schedule an appointment.

Testing is required

• The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) is preferred. Register online at  www.ssat.org. 
• The Admission Committee will also accept the ISEE, PSAT, SAT or ACT scores from the current academic school year.
• It is important to choose us as a recipient of the scores by entering Saint Andrew's School in the specified fields when registering for the test. 

Admission Testing Deadlines

• November 23 - Early Application Testing Deadline (Grade 9 and Distinguished Scholar Award applicants only).
• January 3 - Regular Application Testing Deadline.

Non-native English speakers must submit either a current TOEFL or Duolingo score, in addition to the SSAT. 

• Upload a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate to your application portal
• If the birth certificate is not in English, a certified translated copy must also be submitted

Day or Boarding students

• Students attending Saint Andrew’s School as a Day student must reside with one or both parents, an aunt, an uncle or grandparent, within commuting distance for the entire academic year. 
• If living with an aunt, uncle or grandparent, that family member must be a Court Appointed Guardian. 
• Students with immediate family members living outside of commuting distance are required to attend as a Boarding student. 
• Host Families:​​​​ Students are not permitted to live with a host family.

Saint Andrew’s School attracts students from Boca Raton and a wide radius in South Florida including cities such as; Highland Beach, Delray Beach, Manalapan, Wellington, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Parkland.  While many of our students live within a short commute to the school, we offer those who are further away the convenience of transportation. Please note the School does not transport students under the age of five.
