Lower School Admission Process

Saint Andrew's Online Application 

• Pre-K - Grade 2: $100 (includes screening fee)
• Grades 3 - 5: $100 (does not include ISEE test fee)

• Request electronically through your application portal by entering your current teacher’s email
• Please allow the current teacher enough time to get to know your child before submitting the request

Classroom visits are required for students entering Grades 2 through 5 as part of the application process. Registration can be accessed through the online application portal. 

Grades 1-5

Submit the request electronically through your application portal; this will authorize your current school to send records directly to us. 
Records to include:

• Transcripts - school records that show the classes the student took and the grades they received in the last two years
• Current year’s grades (first quarter, trimester, or semester)
• Prior year’s standardized test scores
• Attendance information

Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grade 1: 

• Applicants must be 4 years old (Pre-K), 5 years old (K), and 6 years old (Grade 1) by September 1 of the year they would be applying for.
• Candidates applying to Pre-K through Grade 1 are evaluated both cognitively and developmentally. Registration can be accessed through the online application portal.

Grade 2:

• Students entering Grade 2 will complete in house academic admission screening followed by a Scot for a Day (classroom visit). Registration can be accessed through the online application portal.

Grades 3 through 5:

• Students entering Grades 3 through 5 should register for the ISEE test. If applying to other schools that require the SSAT, we will also accept the ELSSAT but prefer the ISEE. 

• Upload a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate to your application portal.
• If the birth certificate is not in English, an officially translated copy must also be submitted.

Saint Andrew’s School attracts students from Boca Raton and a wide radius in South Florida including cities such as; Highland Beach, Delray Beach, Manalapan, Wellington, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Parkland.  While many of our students live within a short commute to the school, we offer those who are further away the convenience of transportation. Please note the School does not transport students under the age of five.

Saint Andrew’s now offers an Early Application round for students applying to Pre-K and Kindergarten. This option is for students who consider Saint Andrew’s their first-choice school. To participate in the Early Application round, applications must be complete, including all required materials and testing by December 1. Students admitted during the early application timeframe are expected to enroll.

• August: Applications open on August 7
• December: 
  • SA IS MY FIRST CHOICE for Pre-K and Kindergarten (Early Application): Applications completed by December 1 will receive a decision on December 14.
• January: All additional applications completed by January 18 will receive a decision on February 12.
• Completed Applications after January 18 will continue to be reviewed throughout the year on a rolling basis, pending available space.
