    Timeline
    • September - January: Applications open. The Admission Office will contact families to schedule visit days (conditions permitting) and admission testing.
    Pre-K
    • The Admission Office meets to review each applicant’s file once we have received all required documents. 
    • Early decisions for Pre-K will begin in December. 
    • Applications will continue to be accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis pending available space.
    K through Grade 5
    • January 17: First round deadline for all completed application materials to receive a decision by February 17.
    • February 17: Notification date for all K through Grade 5 applicants.
    • After the January 17 first-round deadline, we will continue to welcome applications as space is available. When spaces in a particular grade level are filled, the Admission Committee may offer qualified applicants a place on the Waiting List.
    • Decisions will be emailed on February 17.

    TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM
    Electronic confidential teacher recommendation can be accessed through our online application and must be sent directly from the applicant's current school to the Admission Office.
     
    REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF RECORDS
    Electronic Request for Release of Records can be accessed through our online application. This form can be downloaded and given to a School Official at the applicant’s current school.
     
    CLASSROOM VISITS
    Classroom visits are encouraged for students entering grades 2-5 as part of the application process. 
     
    ADMISSION SCREENING
    Grades Pre-K, K, and 1
    Applicants must be 4 years old (Pre-K) and 5 years old (K) by September 1 of the year they would be applying for. Candidates applying to Pre-K through grade 1 are evaluated both cognitively and developmentally. The Admission Office will contact applicants to schedule screening, after an application is submitted.
     
    Grades 2 & 3
    Candidates for grades 2 & 3 will be scheduled for a grade-level assessment that will evaluate both aptitude and achievement. The Admission Office will contact applicants to schedule screening. 

    Grades 4 & 5
    Candidates for grades 4 & 5 are required to take the Elementary Level SSAT which take place once a month on Saturdays. SSAT registration and test information is available at www.ssat.org or you may call SSAT at 609.683.4440. It is important to choose us as a recipient of the scores by entering Saint Andrew's School in the specified fields when registering for the test. Your child must take the SSAT by the January 7th test date to be considered for the priority deadline (1/17).

    COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE
    An officially translated copy is required for any birth certificate not in English.

    1. Saint Andrew's Online Application - consisting of the Biographical Information, Parent Statement, and Student Questionnaire with choice of Essay or Personal Project. Teacher Recommendation forms may be accessed through our Online Application.
    2. SSAT Standard Application Online (SAO) - applicants applying to multiple schools may want to consider applying through the SSAT SAO.
     
    THREE TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORMS

    SSAT registration and test information is available at www.ssat.org or you may call SSAT at 609.683.4440. It is important to choose us as a recipient of the scores by entering Saint Andrew's School in the specified fields when registering for the test.

    INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY
    Applicants for whom English is not their native language must submit either, a current TOEFL or Duolingo score, in addition to the SSAT. Our school code for the TOEFL is 8163.
     
    A certified translated copy of the applicant's transcripts and current grades must also be submitted. For applicants applying to grade 11 or 12, four years of previous transcripts are required, including grade 8.  

    APPLICANTS FROM MAINLAND CHINA, HONG KONG, TAIWAN, SOUTH KOREA, AND BRAZIL
    Saint Andrew's has partnered with Vericant to conduct interviews and short writing samples with our applicants in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, Brazil, and Vietnam. The Vericant interview is a strongly recommended component of your completed application if you are not able to visit campus. The Vericant interview deadline is January 14, 2023.

    Saint Andrew’s prides itself on being a diverse community with boarding students from over 30 countries who, along with their American peers, call Saint Andrew’s “home.” In addition to our diverse resident student population, Saint Andrew's offers the International Baccalaureate Programme and is a member of the world-renowned Round Square Organization. Of the Class of 2022, 83% were admitted to a college ranked in the top 100 National Universities and Liberal Arts Colleges.

    Application and Enrollment Requirements for International Students Seeking F-1 Visas 
    • Day or Boarding status:  Students attending Saint Andrew’s School as a day student must reside with one or both parents, an aunt, an uncle or grandparent, within commuting distance for the entire academic year.  If living with an aunt, uncle or grandparent, that family member must be a Court Appointed Guardian.  Students with immediate family members living outside of commuting distance are required to attend as a boarding student.
    • Host Families: Students are not permitted to live with a host family.
    • Local Contact: All international students are required to have a local emergency contact on file. The emergency contact needs to have a US address and be available for in case of an emergency or disciplinary action.
    • Application: International applicants follow the same application process as domestic students.
    • English Proficiency:  If English is not a student’s first language, an English Proficiency Test score from IELTS (IELTS English Language Test), TOEFL (The TOEFL ets.org) or Duolingo (Duolingo English Test) are required. 
    • Interviews: Student & parent Interviews are conducted in person or through Zoom after the student’s application has been submitted.
    Boarding Costs
    • Tuition (2022-23):  $69,300
    • Matriculation: $1,000 (one-time fee only)
    • Tuition Insurance: Approximately 1.15% of tuition
    • Health insurance: approximately $2,400
    Additional Costs
    • Books: Approximately $200 per semester

    Student Visa (F1) Applicants (K-12):
    1. Once a student has been accepted and completed the enrollment process, please submit to our Office of Admission:
    • Copy of the photo page of your passport;
    • Copy of your official birth certificate (translated into English);
    • “Letter of financial support” (which is an official document translated into English demonstrating your family’s ability to pay our school tuition)

    1. Once we receive the required documents listed above, Saint Andrew’s School will create a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Status” for you. The I-20 is a paper record of the information entered in the SEVIS database and is required to proceed with your F-1 Student Visa application. 
    1. When you receive your I-20 from us, please visit the website, http://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/, which will guide you through the steps necessary to complete the visa application process. These steps include:
    • Paying the I-901 SEVIS fee of $350 (http://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/);
    • As soon as the I-901 SEVIS fee is paid, making an appointment at the United States Embassy or Consulate nearest to you in the country in which you live for your visa interview
    International Student Registration Procedures for Athletic Participation 
     
    As a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA), Saint Andrew’s School is required to submit required documentation for all international students wanting to participate in interscholastic activities. Students may not participate until this information has been submitted to the FHSAA for approval. 

    Required documentation:
    1. Copy of student’s original passport or original birth certificate (including translation if necessary) or U.S. Visa or U.S. Permanent Resident Card;
    2. Copy of F-1 Eligibility Certificate (Form I-20 A-B);
    3. Copy of original official transcripts from the school(s) in the foreign country, in the original language (un-translated), of grades since entering the 8th grade (or its equivalent);
