In medical school, there is a saying: see one, do one, teach one.
That is the essence of #StudentsTeachingStudents, a project created by Upper School Math Teacher Lisa Winer.
"#StudentsTeachingStudents truly unlocks the extraordinary potential for students to engage each other in learning, teaching, and leading," stated Mrs. Winer. "Just think of it as a Student-run Khan Academy meets your typical Math Class."
Mrs. Winer created #StudentsTeachingStudents in 2017 as part of her work as a
TED-ED Innovation Educator. She has long believed in the importance of engaging students in active problem-solving in her classroom. As part of her TED-Ed Innovation Project, Saint Andrew’s students have created digital lessons on topics learned in math class. Each lesson, which is hosted on TED-ED's
Lessons Worth Sharing website, is designed to help other students Watch, Think, Dig Deeper, and Discuss different Algebra 2/Pre-Calculus topics.
