On Saturday night, junior guard, Anthony Polite became the newest member of the 1,000-Point Club.
Saint Andrew's School, junior, Anthony Polite scored 31 points to lead the Scots to an impressive 61-44 win over Gulliver Prep School. Polite entered the game with 970 career-points and his strong performance made him the newest member of the 1,000-Point Club at Saint Andrew's.
Polite, a three year starter, reached this milestone in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. He scored in the act of being fouled, went to the foul line and completed the 3-point play to give him 1,001 career-points. On the season, Polite is averaging 20.9 pts/gm, 7.6 rbs/gm and 3.4 ast/gm.
Early in the season, the Scots are currently undefeated with a 7-0 record. Saint Andrew's boys varsity basketball will be back in action at home on Tuesday, December 8 vs. American Heritage Boca-Delray. Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm.
