Encouraging a Global Perspective
In line with our strategic objectives, Saint Andrew’s School is committed to promoting global awareness in the school community. The school is interested in forming global partnerships with organizations and corporations that add value externally to the world at large and internally to the depth and breadth of the educational experience. Accordingly, Saint Andrew’s School recognizes the value of international exchanges, service projects, and travel as an extension of the school experience.
Boarding Program: The residential program at Saint Andrew's School offers a wonderful opportunity for students from around the United States, and the entire world, to experience living and growing together as a community of learners. The diversity of interests, experiences, and cultural backgrounds enhances the academic challenge and community spirit for all students. With 100 resident and 47 faculty members and their families living on campus, they experience a loving, nurturing, and supportive environment. It is truly a "home away from home" for students from several states and over 20 countries throughout the world.
Round Square: Our membership in the Round Square organization takes our mission of educating mind, body and spirit to a new level. We believe that our school should serve a greater purpose beyond preparing students for college and university. It is crucial for young people to prepare for life by having them face it directly and experience it in ways that would demand courage, generosity, imagination, principle, and resolution. Round Square is an organization embodying this educational revolution. This underlying belief also embraces the importance of service to others, adventure, leadership training, responsibility, and international understanding. All these are essential in preparing young people to meet the challenges of the future with confidence and compassion.
Costa Rica: Additionally, the annual Sophomore Class trip to Costa Rica has become a tradition at Saint Andrew’s School and continues to find success with each year. With connections across the curriculum, this program invites our tenth grade students to explore a geography and culture confronting the challenges of balancing economics with ecosystems and progress and growth with sustainability.
