    All School Honor Pinning Ceremony

    Scott Family Gymnasium
On this day, all three divisions will gather in Scotts Family Gymnasium for our annual Honor Pinning Ceremony. The Honor Pinning Ceremony is a reflection of the school's Honor System.

The centerpiece of the Honor System is the Honor Code, which states: “Honor Above All.” The Honor Code represents the highest ideals of moral development, integrity, and achievement, as well as respect for the ideas, work and property of others. The Honor Code also represents the School's commitment to fostering integrity and to teaching and promoting honor and trust within our community.

Middle School Lego Robotics Club Meeting

    Middle School - 603 - 603
Saint Andrew’s Middle School is looking forward to our new Robotics Club that will allow us to compete in the First Lego League later this year.  We are looking for dedicated Middle School students who are interested in learning more about science, engineering, and technology.  We will explore robotics and programming through Lego Mindstorm.

This club will get students excited about science and technology and teach them valuable life skills such as collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking. They will use critical thinking and logic to solve complex problems using hands on activities.  As they meet challenges, they will develop an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and learn to rely on one another and work as team to achieve a common goal.  Students will learn that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork while also engaging in friendly competition.

The team will be selected from ten participants in the club.  Participants should be willing to compete in a friendly environment against other students from other school. We will compete in First Lego League (FLL) competitions in South Florida where our robot will compete in a series of challenges in a timed event.  Students must be available for the team competitions.   Winners advance to state level and national competition.

The club will meet on Wednesday's between 3:40 - 4:40 pm.  The faculty coaches are George Lebron and Jackie Gorora.  The first club will meet on Wednesday, September 10.  The club is limited to 14 participants so be sure to submit your application form by the due date of September 10.  Application forms should be submitted to Mrs. Gorora.
