Grade 1 Uses Skype To Meet With Amy's Travels Author Kathryn Starke
Posted 11/15/2013 09:56AM

Recently, author Kathryn Starke used Skype to virtually meet with Grade 1 students to discuss her book,  Amy's Travels, which explains the seven continents and ties into the PYP Unit, "Where we are in Place and Time.” Ms. Starke spoke to the students from Virginia, where she is an elementary school literacy specialist, author, and founder/CEO of Creative Minds Publications.

Thank you to Grade 1 teacher Andrea Hermes who helped organize this valuable educational experience and to Lower School Librarian Deborah Martin-Gull for setting up the Skype session in Hammond Library, where all 60 Grade 1 children sat to view the smart board.
