Science
The primary goal of the Saint Andrew's School Science Department is to provide its students, K-12, with a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate program of study. Throughout the program, a special emphasis is placed upon the understanding and respect for the effects science and technology have upon the environment. The curriculum includes ecological an environmental issues at each grade level in the Lower School and a full year of environmental science in Grade 6 in the Middle School.
Another important goal of the Science Department is to provide its students with college preparatory exposure through the AP level in the three core sciences: biology, chemistry, and physics. In addition to these core subjects, several enrichment courses are offered as electives. The curriculum is designed to provide courses that are accessible to students of all ability levels and cultures.
