Parker Library

Parker Library is equipped with a wide variety of technology and traditional resources enabling students to work on class projects, beginning with research and ending with the finished project.  The library houses approximately 20,000 books, as well as a wide variety of online resources, videos, periodicals, and reserve materials for class projects.  It also contains computers and a variety of peripheral devices available for student use.  The computers provide access to an online catalog of library holdings, the Internet, online reference databases and various networked programs.

There are two art collections located in Parker Library. The Dr. and Mrs. James V. Redd Pre-Columbian Collection contains 30 pieces of Classic Period Mayan earthenware, dating from 250-900 AD. The Joseph E. Gould-William M. Posey Collection of Replica Antiquities is a collection primarily of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Neoclassic art, and is used as part of the curriculum in several disciplines.
