Upper School Dress Code 2010-2011

Dress Code for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors

Males

Top - Long- or short-sleeved Oxford-style shirt with buttons the length of the shirtfront. Shirts must have shirttails sufficiently long enough to stay tucked-in at the waist. Tie or bow tie tightened to the neck.

Bottom - Tailored straight-legged slacks of conservative fit worn at the natural waist; shorts with 9-10” inseams. Must have belt loops and belt must be worn. No cargo pockets, frayed hems or camouflage patterns.

Shoes - Tennis shoes or sneakers, closed-toe dress shoes or loafers, or closed-toe Birken- stocks. Laces must be tied.

Females

Top -Collared blouse buttoned to cover any layers beneath. Must be tucked in or with a finished hem that reaches mid-hip.

Bottom - Conservative, knee-length skirt, worn at the waist and not at the hips; Straight- legged or Capri-style slacks of conservative fit, worn at the waist and not at the hips; Bermuda-style, knee-length shorts. NOTE: Only senior girls are allowed to wear dresses.

Shoes - Dress sandals, loafers, flats or pumps; tennis shoes or sneakers; dress boots allowed

Dress Code for Seniors

Males

Polo-shirt or in dress code (includ- ing tie) on Fridays.

Bottom - Tailored straight-legged slacks of conservative fit worn at the natural waist; shorts with 9-10” inseams. Must have belt loops and belt must be worn. No cargo pockets, frayed hems or camouflage patterns.

Shoes - Tennis shoes or sneakers, closed-toe dress shoes or loafers, or closed-toe Birken- stocks. Laces must be tied.

Females

Top - Collared blouse buttoned to cover any layers beneath. Must be tucked in or with a finished hem that reaches mid-hip. NOTE: On any day of the week senior girls are permit- ted to wear dresses of a conservative length (to the knees) with sleeves and a neckline not below the collarbone. Polo-shirt or in dress code on Fridays.

Bottom - Conservative, knee-length skirt, worn at the waist and not at the hips; Straight- legged or Capri-style slacks of conservative fit, worn at the waist and not at the hips; Bermuda-style, knee-length shorts..
