School Libraries

Serving three distinct yet, allied, educational communities the libraries of Saint Andrew's School (Parker Library - Upper School, Schmitt Library - Middle School and Hammond Library - Lower School) provide materials that enhance and supplement the curriculum. Priorities of our library service are to foster a life-long love of reading and to develop the necessary research skills students will need to further their educational goals are priorities of our library service.
The libraries' collections of print, multi-media and computerized resources are kept up-to-date and accurate. Materials reflect both the diversity of the world today, as well as the history of the world to date. The libraries' holdings, comprised of over 42,000 items and more than 30 online databases support the students' research needs.
All three state-of-the-art facilities create welcoming and engaging environments for the school community. The libraries also serve as centers for displays of students' art work and projects across the curriculum. In addition, Parker Library houses replicas of ancient art and pieces of antiquities, for which presentations are given to student groups upon request.
