4th Annual Scotty Invitational Meet Information (January 26, 29-30)
Florida Gold Coast has released the final standings for the 2010 FG Top 16 program. This program ranks the top 16 athletes from our LSC in the following age categories. 9&U, 10, 11, 12 in both Short Course Yard Rankings and Long Course Meter Rankings.
Saint Andrew’s Swimming is proud to note that six of our best age group swimmers have been recognized for their efforts. They include: Megan Moroney, 12 (1st SCY / 2nd LCM); Shanna Bober, 9 (3rd SCY); Chelsea Scuderi, 12 (5th LCM); Courtney Bober, 12 (6th LCM); Julianna Carbone, 12 (13th LCM) & Kyle Tatton, 10 (14th LCM).
These rankings were determined using USA Swimming’s IMX system designed to measure a swimmer’s expertise in a variety of events. For information on how the IMX program calculates rankings, click here.
The Saint Andrew's Swimming Club finished fourth in the 2010 Junior Olympics. Megan Moroney set six records in four events and finished with seven gold medals. Click here to read more...
The Saint Andrew's Swimming Club was recognized as a Bronze Medal Swimming Club by USA Swimming for the second year. The focus of this voluntary program is to identify and reward up to 200 USA Swimming clubs that have attained a high level of athlete performance as well as organizational success.
The USA Swimming Award, USA Swimming's most prestigious annual honor, was presented to Sid Cassidy. Cassidy serves as chairman of the FINA Technical Open Water Swimming Committee, and has served on the committee since 1996. Cassidy, who is recognized as a major contributor to the addition of the Open Water 10K to the Olympic program, also served as USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Team head coach for five years from 1991-1996. Congratulations Coach Cassidy.

Saint Andrew's School sponsors a year-round USA Swimming team at the Duff Tyler Aquatic Complex on school campus. We are part of Florida Gold Coast Swimming and will attend various levels of swimming competitions. We welcome any interested student who can complete 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke to join us!
