February 3, 2014 - Archbishop Curley (W 12-2)

The Scots opened their 2014 season with a 12-2 win over visiting Archbishop Curley.  Freshman Calvin Bocchino led the way on the mound pitching three innings and allowing no hits while striking out nine.  Freshman Scott Gellman came on in relief and recorded four strikeouts in two innings.  Sophmores Pete Duros and Cam Hodgeman along with freshman Brady McConnell paced the offense with two hits apiece for the Scots.  Alec Ventrice, Jordan Spitzberg, Matthew Glenn and Jacob Shook each chipped in with a hit for the home team.  Jonathan Frechter stole three bases to help the Scots over the Knights.  The Scots return to action on Thursday at home versus Boca Christian School at 3:30pm.
